Description
Not every N20 pump has the same electrical connection. This F30 replacement is the small-plug version. Its electric drive allows coolant delivery to respond to engine demand. When circulation becomes unreliable the car may develop temperature warnings or cooling faults that appear most clearly under load.
Suitable for BMW F30 models with N20 engines.
Cooling parts work together rather than independently. A sealed circuit with correct fluid level gives the pump and radiator the conditions they need to operate properly. A small leak can become easier to see when the system is warm and pressurised. Dried coolant deposits often help locate the affected joint.
Look out for the following symptoms:
- Rising engine temperature despite the correct coolant level.
- Coolant leaking around the pump housing or connections.
- Cooling faults or a pump that no longer circulates coolant.
Inspect the connector for corrosion and check the thermostat. Follow the electric pump bleeding procedure after refilling the cooling system.
