Description
This rear shock absorber is suitable for selected BMW 3 Series G20 and 3 Series G28 models. This unit can be used on either side at the specified axle. It controls spring movement as road impacts pass through the suspension. A worn shock can make the back of the car bounce or feel unsettled through bends. Replacement may restore damping and reduce continued movement after road impacts.
Common reasons to inspect your shocks include:
- Continued bouncing after a dip or speed bump.
- Oil leakage or damage around the damper body.
- Uneven tyre wear or an unsettled ride through bends.
Inspect both rear mounts and dampers. Check protective boots and bump stops so damaged companion parts are not carried into the repair.
