Description
Temperature control matters during both short trips and longer drives. This F-Series thermostat for N55 engines manages coolant flow to the radiator. Compatible models include M235i, 335i and 435i among others. A worn thermostat can upset that balance without always producing a visible leak around the assembly.
Suitable for BMW F-Series vehicles with N55 engines, including 135i, M235i, 335i, 435i and 35iX.
A small leak can become easier to see when the system is warm and pressurised. Dried coolant deposits often help locate the affected joint.
Signs that this component may need attention include:
- Slow warm-up or temperatures that stay unusually low.
- Engine temperature rising because coolant flow is restricted.
- Coolant escaping around the thermostat housing.
Check the electric water pump and coolant hoses at the same time. Use the correct refill and bleeding procedure after installation.
