Description
Cylinder head and related engine joints need sound gaskets to keep combustion pressure, oil and coolant in their intended places. This engine gasket set is suitable for BMW vehicles with N54 engines, including 135i, 335i and 740i. Replacing disturbed seals is part of a thorough repair but the cause of any overheating or leakage should also be investigated.
Look out for the following symptoms:
- Worn seals identified during an engine rebuild.
- A cylinder head repair requiring replacement gaskets.
- Oil or coolant leaks at disturbed engine joints.
Confirm the supplied gasket contents and inspect mating surfaces. Check the cooling system and follow the correct head bolt procedure when rebuilding.
