Description
This engine mount is designed for the left-hand mounting position on selected BMW F10 vehicles fitted with an N20 or N47 engine. It helps hold the engine securely while cushioning the movement created during starting, idling, acceleration and gear changes.
Possible signs of a worn engine mount include increased vibration through the steering wheel or cabin, knocking when pulling away, excessive engine movement and a noticeable jolt when changing between drive and reverse. The symptoms can become more pronounced at idle or when the air conditioning places additional load on the engine.
Suitable applications include selected BMW 5 Series F10 models with the four-cylinder N20 petrol or N47 diesel engine. Inspect the remaining engine and transmission mounts during replacement. A second worn mount can place additional strain on the new unit and allow unwanted drivetrain movement to remain.
