Description
This upper radiator hose carries coolant through the N52 cooling circuit. This coolant hose is suitable for selected BMW 3 Series E90 models with N52 engines, including 125i, 130i, 323i, 325i, 330i and 30i. Repeated heating can make its connectors brittle and weaken seals. Replacing a leaking pipe helps maintain coolant volume and restores the circulation path without assuming the radiator itself has failed.
Temperature faults can have more than one cause. Checking circulation and visible leakage helps direct the repair towards the component that is actually worn.
Common reasons to inspect this part include:
- Cracked rubber or a brittle plastic fitting.
- Coolant loss that becomes noticeable after driving.
- Coolant marks around the hose connectors.
Inspect the locking tabs and adjoining coolant fittings. Confirm secure connections and remove trapped air after the cooling circuit is refilled.
