Description
This N20 coolant hose connects the cylinder head to the thermostat within the listed cooling circuit. This coolant hose is suitable for BMW vehicles with N20 engines, including 125i, 220i, 320i, 420i, 520i and 20i. It is supplied for models including 125i, 220i, 320i, 420i and 520i models. A leaking fitting can lower coolant levels without an obvious fault in the radiator. Replacement restores the seal along this specific route.
Correct coolant protects the repaired system as well as the new component. Mixing unsuitable fluids or leaving air trapped in the system can reduce cooling performance.
Possible signs of wear or failure include:
- Coolant marks around the hose connectors.
- Cracked rubber or a brittle plastic fitting.
- Coolant loss that becomes noticeable after driving.
Inspect the thermostat connection and hose seals. A pressure check after refilling can reveal a second leak elsewhere in the cooling system.
