Description
The front sway bar link is a small component with a noticeable effect when its joints wear. This left stabilizer link is suitable for selected BMW 7 Series E65 models. Play may create rattles over rough tar while the main springs and dampers remain healthy. Replacing the link repairs the loose connection to the anti-roll bar.
A drop link controls a connection rather than supporting ride height. Sagging suspension or continued bouncing calls for separate inspection of the springs and dampers. Protective joint boots keep water and dirt away from the working surfaces. Once a boot tears the joint may wear faster even if noise is not yet obvious.
Common reasons to inspect this part include:
- A light knocking sound over small bumps.
- Loose joints or torn protective boots.
- More body movement when the vehicle changes direction.
Inspect the right rod and bar supports. Check the boots for tears and look for remaining suspension play during the same service.
