Description
If the rear window drops or moves crookedly the regulator may have damaged guides or cables. This rear left window regulator is suitable for selected BMW 3 Series E90 and 3 Series E91 models. It guides the glass inside the door and converts the motor’s movement into controlled travel. Replacing the mechanism can restore operation while retaining serviceable electrical parts.
A window that binds in its guides can place extra load on the mechanism. Check the glass path so the new regulator is not working against a restriction.
Possible signs of wear or failure include:
- The glass moving unevenly or dropping inside the door.
- Grinding or cable noise during window operation.
- A working motor with a window that stays still.
Inspect the window motor and glass guides. Test movement before replacing the door trim and reset window limits where required.
