Description
A rear right window that grinds or stops partway can be suffering from regulator wear. This rear right window regulator is suitable for selected BMW 3 Series E90 and 3 Series E91 models. Cable damage or broken sliders can leave the motor running while the glass stays still. Replacement addresses the mechanical lifting path within that door.
An electrical fault may leave a sound mechanism motionless. Testing motor supply separately helps distinguish the lifting hardware from the switch or door wiring. A window that binds in its guides can place extra load on the mechanism. Check the glass path so the new regulator is not working against a restriction.
Look out for the following symptoms:
- Grinding or cable noise during window operation.
- A working motor with a window that stays still.
- The glass moving unevenly or dropping inside the door.
Inspect the guide channels and electrical supply. Secure the glass correctly and check full travel before the door panel is refitted.
