Description
A timing chain needs sound guides to follow its intended path through the engine. This lower timing chain guide is suitable for BMW vehicles with N20 engines, including 125i, 320i, 328i, 420i, 428i, 520i, 528i and 20i. Worn guide surfaces can allow excess movement and leave debris in the engine. Replacement is best considered alongside the condition of the full chain system.
Common reasons to inspect this part include:
- Loose chain movement found during timing inspection.
