Description
Vibration when accelerating can arise from a worn inner CV joint even without the clicking associated with an outer joint. This front right axle shaft is suitable for E70 LCI, F15 and F16 models with N55 or N57 engines. Its articulated joints accommodate steering angle and suspension travel while transmitting drive.
Inspect joints and support components together so the source is identified before replacing a shaft or actuator. Boot and seal condition affects the life of drivetrain joints. Correcting leakage or lost protection helps avoid early wear in a replacement assembly.
Possible signs of wear or failure include:
- Vibration during acceleration.
- Split CV boots with grease around the wheel area.
- Clicking when turning under power.
Inspect the differential output seal and hub bearing. Examine grease loss and boot damage to understand what caused the joint wear.
